These are words from the Girl Scouts of America’s theme song, but for the Black River Falls Area Foundation’s Friends of the Foundation, the words of this song are very applicable.  Yes, we want to “keep the old” - people who have contributed to Friends of the Foundation, and “make new friends” – people who are first-time contributors. 

 

In keeping with this theme that “one is silver and the other is gold,” we have established a permanent Recognition Program for all people who have given so generously throughout the years to our Friends of the Foundation. The program has four giving levels with designated dollar amounts.  Each Friend’s name is listed within the appropriate level and will be updated each year.  The levels and accumulated totals are:

Bronze - $100     Silver - $500    Gold - $2,000    Platinum - $5,000

Our Friends of the Foundation annual fundraiser began in 1996, and is very important to the Foundation.  Each year, because of our Friends, we have been able to increase funds awarded for community grants and special projects.  We want to continually “Make New Friends” and “Keep The Old” because “Some are Silver and the Others Gold or Bronze or Platinum.”
