A permanent Scholarship Fund, created by gifts from individuals, organizations and businesses, awards education grants to selected area students. The following scholarships were awarded in 2007:

Dean Nortman Memorial Scholarship ($1,000) - A $500 grant to the Jackson County EMS Association was awarded from this Scholarship Fund. Condition of scholarship: Award to student in Fire Science or EMT-related education or if no worthy applicant use for Fire Science or EMT-related materials.
