On Tuesday, September 17th, the annual Friends of the Foundation Luncheon honored retiring trustee Kay Finch.

Kay joined the Foundation Board in 2009. She served as Secretary from 2016 until 2020, Vice-Chairperson beginning in 2020 and Chairperson from 2022 to Present.
Kay has diligently served the Foundation for sixteen years. When Winston Churchill said “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give”, he described Kay perfectly.

Since 1996, the Foundation’s annual FRIENDS Solicitation has been our only grant fundraising event. 100% of FRIENDS donations are used to fund the following year’s grant requests. We support the non-profit organizations and volunteers that support our community, ensuring that your donation helps the most community members possible.
To date the Foundation has awarded more than 825 Grants to 128 different, diverse, local, non-profit organizations, totaling nearly $7 million dollars. What an astounding community accomplishment!
Thank you!
Our gathering was dedicated to honoring retiring Trustee Kay Finch who has been instrumental in the Foundation’s success, not only as a leader, but also as one of its most generous donors from the beginning.
Kay’s family, friends, and anyone who has seen the positive impact of her many community gifts, joined us in thanking her for her many years of service, dedication and philanthropic support of our community. If you would like to make a special donation in Kay’s honor, your gift will be greatly appreciated!
Your generous gifts created, sustain, and help the Foundation to grow – THANK YOU!
